I'm looking for a videographer/editor to collaborate on an ongoing podcast project based in Harlem, with occasional filming around NYC (museums, streets, cultural spaces — e.g. The Met). The podcast is called "Becoming Lissarette" — a lifestyle and storytelling podcast. Sometimes there are guests, but most episodes center on me. The format is cinematic and narrative-driven: the video is not an afterthought. Episodes should feel like you're watching a short film while listening to a story. (This is a rebranding, so I truly want to get something of substance out there.) This is not a basic talking-head podcast. Strong visual sensibility is essential. What You'll Do Film podcast episodes on location Occasionally shoot cinematic B-roll around NYC (walking shots, interiors, cultural spaces, etc.) Edit full-length podcast videos with a film-like, immersive feel Create short-form social clips optimized for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Handle color, pacing, sound sync, and visual storytelling Collaborate creatively — this is a hands-on, aesthetic-driven project Requirements Experience with podcast video production AND editing Strong eye for cinematography, mood, and narrative Ability to cut compelling short-form social content Must travel to me for filming in Manhattan. Owns professional equipment (camera, lighting, editing software) Reliable, communicative, detail-oriented Portfolio/sample work required (cinematic or storytelling work strongly preferred) Schedule & Pay: We shoot once a week in Manhattan. Paid (rate based on experience and scope However I am self funding this project and do not have a large budget) How to Apply Please email: A short intro Links to relevant portfolio or sample work Your availability Your rate or rate range Confirmation that you're NYC-based and able to travel for shoots
