We're looking for someone who loves film, social media, and creative projects to join the Famagusta Film Festival (https://filmfreeway.com/FamagustaFilmFestivalNYC as our volunteer team social media specialist for year 2. We're an independent, grassroots film festival run by a small team so this is a role that allows for and welcomes bringing in your own ideas to help us figure out the best ways to get people excited about the festival. Responsibilities: -In cooperation with the organizers, run Instagram account leading up to and during the festival. -Create posts about our films, filmmakers, screenings, events, and other festival news -Capture some behind-the-scenes and live content during the festival. -Keep an eye on comments, messages, tags, and mentions. Who We're Looking For You don't need to have worked for a film festival before. We're mainly looking for someone who: -Enjoys social media and knows how to make content people want to stop and look at. -Loves movies or is interested in independent filmmaking. -Is comfortable writing captions and coming up with ideas -Knows Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or similar tools (great, but definitely not required). Maybe you've managed social media for a small organization, a band, a student group, a personal project, a friend's business, or your own creative work. That's all relevant. Time Commitment We're flexible and understand that you're volunteering your time. The workload will increase as we get closer to the festival, with the busiest period being during the festival itself. Interested?
