We're Hiring A Content Creator — NYC Sandwich Shop SoHo
Jobs

We're a growing sandwich shop concept in Manhattan. Three locations, more on the way, and a whole lot of excellent bread. We're looking for someone talented to be our eye behind the camera — and honestly, more than that. We want a creative partner who can make our food look as good as it tastes and help us dream up what to make in the first place. We care a lot about telling the story of our business in a visual format. Our content should stop the scroll, make you hungry, and sound like it came from us — warm, fun, positive, quirky, sharing the love, confident, informative, a little cheeky, full of gratitude, and never boring. If that's your kind of thing, keep reading. What we're looking for: You'll shoot and edit photo and video for our channels, coming by every couple of weeks to work solo across our Manhattan spots. But this isn't a point-and-shoot situation - in addition to our direction, we're looking for input on what we should shoot, how we should shoot it, what's blowing up right now that we should jump on, and more. We'll handle the copy, captions, and calendar. You own the visuals, start to finish. What we'd need from you each month: - Shoots twice a month across our Manhattan locations - 4 edited reels (vertical, short, built for the way people actually watch) - Enough high-quality photo content to cover 4 static posts, 4 carousels, regular stories, and our email newsletters (~35-40 edited stills) - Everything sized and formatted for all the different platforms and devices - Ideas — real ones. Concepts, shot lists, trends worth chasing - A quick turnaround, so we're never scrambling Who we're hoping to meet: - Someone with a portfolio that makes us go whoa. Food and short-form video are the whole game here, so show us your best. - Bonus points — big ones — if you've shot for restaurants or food brands before. If you know how to make a sandwich look irresistible under real shop lighting, we really want to talk. - A self-starter who shows up with ideas instead of waiting for a shot list. You know what's trending, what's tired, and what's next. - A real eye — composition, light, color, pacing. Your work should look intentional, not like a template. - Someone fluent in Instagram and TikTok, and how they're different animals - Fast, independent, and unbothered by shooting in a busy shop - Reliable and easy to work with (this one's underrated) - Your own gear — camera, lenses, lighting, editing setup The logistics: - 1099 independent contractor, ongoing month-to-month - Full usage rights to everything you make for us - NYC-based and able to hop between our Manhattan locations Want in? Send us your portfolio or reel, your monthly rate, and a few sentences on why you'd be a great fit. Extra credit: point us to food work you're proud of, and tell us about a trend or format you think a shop like ours should be all over. We're excited to see what you've got.
