NYC-based writer/director developing an independent narrative web series and looking for a cinematographer/DP interested in joining the project as a creative collaborator. I'm specifically looking for someone interested in narrative filmmaking who wants to help develop the visual identity of a series from the ground up. I'd love to find a DP who wants to be involved in conversations around visual references, lighting, composition, camera movement, shot design, and the overall look and feel of the show rather than simply coming in as crew-for-hire. This is an independent, low-budget project, so I'm looking for someone who is excited about building narrative work, expanding their reel, and potentially developing an ongoing director/DP partnership. This is not currently a standard commercial DP day-rate position, so please keep that in mind before reaching out. Any production-related expenses will be discussed and agreed upon in advance. If interested, please send: * A little about yourself and your filmmaking experience * Reel/portfolio or examples of your work *What kind of gear you have or have access to * Any narrative/short-film work you've shot, if available * What kind of films/filmmakers/cinematography you're drawn to Students, recent film-school graduates, and emerging cinematographers are absolutely welcome. NYC/NJ-based preferred. If it feels like a good creative fit, I'd love to grab coffee, talk about the series, and see if we might want to build something together.
