Summer Camp Videographer

United States (USA)

We are a science and technology summer camp program outside of Boston looking for someone amazing to produce our communications videos for the summer. Since we are an overnight camp, many parents and community members want to know what is happening, so we aim to produce 4 short videos a week (2-3 minutes) highlighting some of the best moments at camp. This requires someone with not only great filming and editing skills, but the ability to turn around work quickly.

Additionally, part of the job will be working with the campers who are in our Digital Film Production track. We have dozens of campers who have signed up to learn more about producing films -- from writing and storyboarding to filming, editing, and special effects. For one or two periods during the day, we would like the videographer to lend their expertise to the instructors in the film production workshop, helping our campers make their dreams a reality.

The videographer will:

* Document camp activities in video and archive for future use
* Create highlight videos for important days at camp, including Opening Day, weekend activities, special guests, Trip Day, and Closing Day -- 4 videos per session
* Organize video clips for end-of-session slideshow
* Assist in production of future camp marketing materials
* Serve as a role model for campers
* Serve as a member of greater staff community

Location: The camp is located about 45 minutes north of Boston, room and board provided.

Dates: Our summer (including staff training) runs from June 19th to August 8th.
