Looking for an actor to play a grizzled detective in his mid 30-50s in the LA area for a short film. Thriller with comedic undertones. No major acting experience necessary, self tape and headshots not required but nice to have and may increase your chances. Unpaid opportunity, short film available for your portfolio, you will be sent a copy. Concept: A "buddy cop" thriller/drama short with comedic undertones where two police officers are in a van talking while at a stakeout. One of the Cops, as revealed via internal monologue before he enters the van, is secretly investigating the other as he has been tasked to do so by superiors as they suspect he is a mole for the mafia. The cop is therefore overly dramatic and suspicious of every little thing his partner does while in the van. The partners reaction is confused, however, it is revealed at the very end via internal monologue that his partner is also investigating him for the same reason.
