Brooklyn band seeking excellent drummer. Paying a very decent rate per gig, which we'll discuss when we talk. The music: art rock, leftfield; slinky, dramatic, experimental pop. Unsigned. Like Scott Walker and Yeezus had a little girl. James Bond themes, late era Swans, Portishead, the more tuneful side of Coil, PJ Harvey, early Lana del Rey. In the next year, I envision roughly 25 gigs — 4-6 gigs in NYC, the rest touring gigs in the form of 2-3 shorter tours. (Unless we ramp up sooner, and ramping up is the goal!) I pay for accommodations and any transportation related expenses on tour; everyone shares driving duties. We rehearse efficiently at my space in East Williamsburg. You'll be entering into a band that already has a rapport, some tours under our belts, and a couple albums worth of material. For lack of a better word, the live show is *theatrical* — there will definitely be a dress code, and you'll be more or less in character as a henchman to the entity that is this band. Ideally you are a young, hungry, punctual, aspiring road dog looking for a main project around which to plan your busy NYC drummer life. Kindly reply with a bit about yourself and your drumming experience (recordings and videos are very helpful).
