We're making an experimental feature in the vein of David Lynch. Surreal, dark comedy, paranoia. The director has made multiple feature films which have premiered at major festivals and are in distribution worldwide. This project is micro-budget, with a small crew, but lots of creativity. We want every scene to feel alive, lots of room for experimentation. This is ideal for a cinematographer who has always had lots of interesting artsy ideas that they wanted to try but weren't able to do it on more traditional film sets. We are filming in the second half of November and the first half of December, with flexible dates, trying to work around the schedules of the cast and crew. We haven't scheduled it out but we will probably need around 15 shooting days, spread out over a few weeks. No overnights shoots, no early morning shoots. Mostly split days, afternoon and night. We are doing a test shoot with an actor this Saturday afternoon, October 18th, in Venice. If you are available for that, it would be a good time to come and work with the director and get in on the creative chaos. Send reels and any questions you might have. If you're not available for the test shoot this Saturday, we are still interested in considering options, so make your availability clear in your email.
