EDITOR CALL Proof of Concept + Web Series (Los Angeles / Remote OK, Nov 2025–Jan 2026) We're building something bold and fresh, and we need editors who get the vision. This isn't just about cutting scenes together. It's about rhythm, timing, and tone. About crafting stories that make you laugh and feel in equal measure. About being part of a creative movement that's shaping its own lane. If you love world-building, storytelling with heart, and the satisfaction of creating something that speaks to the culture, we'd love to connect. About the Projects PROMISE LAND (Proof of Concept / Short Film) A six-minute sci-fi dramedy that sets the stage for bigger stories ahead. Three men sit at a dinner table in a near-future world where technology and power intersect, and a single holographic projection reveals who's really in control. Logline: In a dying world, a government's radical space program selects only Black Americans for a high-risk mission, sparking global controversy and forcing the chosen to question if they are humanity's hope or its final offering. We're looking for an editor who: Has a strong sense of pacing and story rhythm Can pull off a hologram projection effect on a device between the characters on the table. We have a newscast shot in front of greenscreen to project. Can provide link to demo. Understands tone and atmosphere, blending realism with surrealism Budget: $200 flat, with flexibility for deferred or shared compensation based on festival submissions and fundraising proceeds. We'd love to find someone available to deliver a first draft within the next two weeks before the holiday. We'll include stills from previous episodes and a reference image for the hologram effect in the post gallery. DIASPORA (Web Series) A dramedy exploring love, culture, and identity across the African diaspora. Logline: A Black American woman and a Nigerian-American man reconnect and find themselves navigating love, family, and the meaning of belonging in a world that keeps redefining what it means to be home. We've already shot four of ten episodes (5–10 minutes each) and are looking for editors with a strong comedic sense who can find levity even in the heavier moments. This is an ongoing project with room to grow and collaborate long-term as we complete the season. What We Offer Credit and creative input from the onset, helping shape the tone and visual language of both projects A chance to join at an exciting stage in development and help define the post-production identity of two distinct but connected worlds Remote collaboration and creative freedom Deferred or shared compensation opportunities for long-term collaborators We're not waiting for permission, we're making it happen. If you're an editor who loves storytelling, collaboration, and culture-driven projects, let's build together. To Reach Out Send over a brief note about yourself, a link to your portfolio or reel, and your availability between November 2025 and January 2026. Let us know whether you're interested in Promise Land, Diaspora, or both. We'd love to hear from editors who want to shape something original, meaningful, and fun. Let's make something unforgettable.
