**Freelance Podcast Video Editors Needed — Ongoing Remote Work (NYC Preferred)** NYC-based production company is looking for reliable freelance video editors to help with ongoing podcast post-production. This is remote, project-based work with a simple, repeatable editing workflow. NYC-based editors are preferred, but not required. We are currently hiring for two types of editing work: **1. YouTube Podcast Clips** You will receive full-length podcast episodes and follow our established editing formula to: * Identify individual discussion topics within the episode * Cut each topic into a standalone YouTube clip * Make sure each clip starts cleanly and ends on a strong cliffhanger * Create one thumbnail for each clip using our established thumbnail style/formula * Export and deliver the finished clip and thumbnail The editing itself is straightforward. Experienced editors should be able to move through the episodes quickly, including reviewing footage at 2x speed. **Rate:** * $20 per completed YouTube clip + thumbnail * $10 per completed YouTube clip + thumbnail if the finished clip is under 8 minutes **2. Social Media Clips** For social clips, our team will provide the exact timestamps. You will: * Cut the provided section * Reformat it for 9:16 vertical * Add the provided show logo * Add the clip title * Add captions/subtitles * Export and deliver the finished clip **Rate:** * $20 per completed social media clip All work is paid per completed deliverable. This is ongoing freelance/contract work, not a salaried or hourly position. **What we're looking for:** * Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent professional editing software * Fast, organized workflow * Good understanding of podcast/conversational editing * Ability to recognize where a discussion topic naturally begins and ends * Strong attention to detail * Reliable communication * Ability to follow an established editing and thumbnail formula consistently * Comfortable working remotely and receiving assignments on an ongoing basis For the YouTube role, editorial judgment is important. We are not looking for heavy creative editing or flashy effects. The primary job is identifying strong standalone topics, making clean cuts, and following our established format.
