FRONT OF HOUSE CREW We are currently hiring FRONT OF HOUSE CREW MEMBERS to start immediately at our Pasadena location! At HOWLIN', you'll not only be serving up some of the BEST hot chicken west of the Mississippi, you'll be joining a crew that is unmatched in its work ethic, passion for hospitality and family values. Our Front of House crew plays an essential role in creating the HOWLIN' experience. From welcoming guests and guiding them through our menu, to maintaining the flow of the dining room and communicating with the kitchen, our FOH team works together to make sure every guest feels welcomed, taken care of and excited to come back. You will also be part of a culture created by a team that has collectively spent decades working in the industry. We value life/work balance and have worked hard to create a unique restaurant experience not only for our guests, but our crew as well. We provide a safe and positive work environment, free from toxicity & internal politics. We base opportunities and incentives on performance & reliability, not only seniority or hierarchy, and we love to promote from within whenever we can. We are closed (with pay) for all major holidays, closed 2 consecutive days (Monday & Tuesday) per week so everyone gets 2 days off in a row, and we operate limited hours so nobody has to do super early mornings or super late nights. We work hard, but we try to do it right. ARROYO PARKWAY PASADENA, CA 91106 THE JOB: * provide genuine, friendly and attentive hospitality to every guest * welcome guests and confidently guide them through the HOWLIN' menu and experience * accurately take and process guest orders * maintain communication between FOH, expo and the kitchen throughout service * run food accurately and efficiently while maintaining HOWLIN' product and service standards * maintain awareness of the dining room, seating flow and guest needs throughout service * check in with guests and respond to questions, requests or concerns with care and urgency * clean, reset and maintain tables and guest areas throughout service * keep FOH workstations clean, stocked and organized before, during & after service * work together as a team to maintain an efficient flow of service during high-volume periods * participate in a collective team effort to uphold the HOWLIN' STANDARD * ability to remain cool & collected under pressure and work well within a team dynamic * ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with guests, crew members and leadership * reliable transportation and the ability to arrive on time is a must * ideal candidates will have an enthusiasm for hospitality, quality, consistency and personal growth & excellence WHAT DO WE OFFER? #1: The opportunity to work with a world-class crew in a fun and uplifting work environment, with lots of opportunity for growth & positive leadership support on a personal & professional level. We are simply looking for good people who want to learn new things, take good care of folks and help us share our love of hot chicken with the world * previous FOH or hospitality experience is always great, but a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important to us * the ability to function (or have a strong willingness to learn how to) in a fast-paced, high-energy environment will set you up for success at HOWLIN' * time management, communication, multitasking & task prioritization are KEY * we value a self-starter approach and strong work ethic. Those who take initiative & look for opportunities to support their crew will thrive at HOWLIN' * most shifts will be about 8 hrs and you will be on your feet for most, if not all, of that time (obvi not during breaks) * you may potentially need to stock and organize product deliveries, some of which will require approx. 50 lbs lifting * ultimately, the most important qualities we are seeking in candidates are reliability, integrity, respect & a genuine desire to take care of people * ideal candidates will possess the ability to perform tasks with a sense of urgency while keeping a keen eye on attention to detail.
