That's why this role matters.Here's What You'll Be DoingAs our Human Resources Generalist, you'll work closely with the Human Resources Director to support the employee lifecycle and help keep our HR operations organized, compliant, and employee-focused.You'll also:Prepare and collect required new-hire documentation and assist with new-hire orientation, including company policies, the employee handbook, safety expectations, and timekeeping proceduresCoordinate first-day logistics with hiring managers, including workspace, equipment, keys, uniforms, and system accessSchedule and track mandatory employee training, including harassment prevention and workplace safety, and maintain completion recordsConduct 30- and 60-day employee check-ins, stay interviews, and exit interviews, and communicate relevant themes or concerns to the Human Resources DirectorCreate, organize, and maintain accurate electronic and physical personnel filesMaintain records related to leaves of absence, workers' compensation claims, and accommodation requests under the direction of the Human Resources DirectorAssist with compliance reporting and provide administrative support for audits, unemployment claims, and employment verification requestsServe as a point of contact for employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, and HR paperwork, escalating substantive matters to the Human Resources DirectorDocument employee relations concerns and complaints promptly, accurately, and objectivelyAssist the Human Resources Director with workplace investigations by coordinating interviews, taking notes, gathering documentation, and preparing factual written summariesCoordinate employee offboarding, including exit interviews, final pay documentation, return of company property, and removal of system accessMaintain strict confidentiality when handling employee, applicant, and company informationCommunicate regularly with employees, managers, and colleagues by phone, email, text, and other business communication channelsAssist with additional HR projects and responsibilities as assigned by managementThis is a people-focused, detail-sensitive role where professionalism, confidentiality, organization, and sound judgment matter every day.You Have These QualificationsYou have at least 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experienceYou have working knowledge of California and federal employment requirements, as well as applicable Los Angeles County and City employment regulationsYou have at least 2 years of experience supporting employee relations mattersYou're fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbalYou have experience handling confidential employee information with discretion and professionalismYou're highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, employee records, and compliance-related tasksYou're comfortable documenting conversations, concerns, and workplace matters clearly, factually, and objectivelyYou understand when an HR matter can be handled independently and when it should be escalated to the Human Resources DirectorYou're approachable and professional and can build trust with employees and managers at all levelsYou're comfortable working with HR, payroll, and document management systemsYou're able to work independently while also collaborating closely with the Human Resources Director and management teamIt Would Be Nice If...You've worked in a company with both office employees and field-based personnelYou have experience supporting onboarding and offboarding processes from beginning to endYou have experience with employee investigations, leave administration, workers' compensation, or workplace accommodationsYou're familiar with California-specific HR compliance requirements and employment documentationYou have experience using HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, or employee recordkeeping systemsYou're naturally organized and enjoy creating systems that make information easier to find and manageYou're a strong listener who can remain objective and professional when handling sensitive employee concernsYou're comfortable researching HR questions and finding practical, well-supported solutionsYou're looking for a long-term opportunity where you can continue developing your HR career Apply TodayWe're looking for an HR professional who understands that Human Resources is about more than paperwork and policies—it's about people.If you're experienced, organized, bilingual, approachable, and able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and good judgment, we'd love to hear from you.You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our employee experience while working alongside our Human Resources Director and becoming an important part of our growing team.Bring your HR experience, your attention to detail, and your commitment to treating people with respect.
