We're a small events company based in NYC looking for a reliable production assistant to help set up on site for special events around the city. What you'd be doing: arriving ahead of time to set up decor (candles, flowers, signage and similar), staying nearby during the event to make sure everything runs smoothly, and breaking everything down and packing it out afterward. Locations vary around Manhattan and Brooklyn. This is an ongoing, on call role. Most events are evenings and weekends, but we also have daytime and weekday events, so a flexible schedule is a big plus. Pay is $25 an hour. What we're looking for: someone extremely organized and reliable who shows up on time and follows instructions carefully, since these events matter deeply to our clients and there's no room for error. A flexible schedule is important, since events happen at all different times. A background in fashion, art, or a similar creative field is a great fit, and any experience with event setup, decor, or styling is a plus.
