Independent production seeking a talented Storyboard Artist for an upcoming narrative short film currently in pre-production in Los Angeles. We are looking for an artist with a strong cinematic eye who can collaborate directly with the director to visually design key sequences before production. The goal is not simply to illustrate the screenplay. We want to develop the film's visual language — composition, camera placement, blocking, movement, lens perspective, reveals, transitions, and coverage. The director will provide the screenplay, visual references, and creative direction. Ideal Candidate • Professional storyboard experience in narrative film, television, commercials, or high-end music videos • Strong understanding of cinematography and shot composition • Ability to interpret screenplay action cinematically • Comfortable developing sequences collaboratively with a director • Able to communicate camera movement and character blocking clearly • Comfortable making revisions as sequences evolve Experience working with directors and cinematographers during pre-production is strongly preferred.
