Selling a classic Nikon Nikkor-S.C. Auto 55mm f/1.2 Pre-AI camera lens. Lens is clean with no visible issues, and there's absolutely no fungus or haze. Of course, there's some tiny dust like with any other lens, but it's normal and of course, doesn't affect image quality. The lens body has a few minor scratches, which, again, is expected from a 50+ years old lens, but nothing serious. The focusing ring rotates smoothly, the aperture works correctly - no oil on it as well. All in all - really, really good condition with no defects. This is a Pre-AI lens. It will work flawlessly on mirrorless cameras with a standard "dumb" adapter. (If you want to mount it natively on a Nikon F-mount DSLR, do your research, as it may require an AI conversion first). The rendering is absolutely magical - there's some glow wide open at f/1,2, which is the exact character of the lens, but it's still pretty sharp. If you're looking for that "dreamy" vintage effect - this is it. And you still can stop it down to f/5.8-8 for the maximum sharpness. Since it's an "SC" - multi-coated version, it acts better in backlight than its predecessors, but still produces some lovely flares and "vintage" character. I've included a few sample photos taken wide open so you can see exactly how it renders. The price is firm.
