WHO WE ARE Fashion Designers Life® is a NYC based-global creative agency that has spent since 2017 putting multicultural and diverse fashion designers in front of the people who should see them. We produce runway shows, interactive events, productions, panels, and brand campaigns across New York City, and we just wrapped our New York Fashion Week programming this month. Now we're closing out the season with the biggest one. WHAT WE'RE DOING On Sunday, September 20, 2026 FDLife is marching in the 57th Annual African American Day Parade, the largest Black American parade in the United States. White convertibles rolling down Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd, music, and a full crew of designers and models walking the route in all white. Hundreds of thousands of people line that route. Press covers it. Everybody films it. We need a crew to help us pull it off. ------- We need your help and reasonable dependable people to help us in every aspect! So If your willing to work for a well know Fashion Agency that can give you future oppourtunities in the fashion industry this Gig is for YOU. ____ WHAT YOU GET You walk the parade with us. You're not standing on a curb watching you're in it, in the FDLife contingent, in every photo taken that day. Official FDL branded shirt Water and snacks A written reference letter from our founder for anyone who shows up and does the work Direct access to working designers, stylists, photographers, and producers in the NYC fashion scene First consideration for paid roles on FDLife productions going forward If you're trying to break into fashion in this city and you don't have a connection, this is a real door. We have hired people who started exactly like this. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Fashion, marketing, event production, and communications students. Or those in Career changers trying to get into the industry. Basically Anybody reliable who wants to be part of a Harlem tradition. No experience required for most roles. But let's be direct about the standard: This is a live event with a hard start time and hundreds of thousands of witnesses. Once the parade steps off, nothing stops and nothing waits. So we need people who: Show up on time. Early, actually. If you're on time you're late. Do what they said they'd do. If you commit to a role, that role is yours and we're not backfilling it the night before. Move without being asked twice. You'll see what needs doing. Do it. Can be on their feet for several hours outdoors, walking, in September weather. Communicate. If something changes, tell us. Silence is the only thing we can't work with. -------If you flake on people, this isn't for you. We'd rather have four dependable volunteers than ten who might show.---------- DRESS CODE: All-white bottoms (skirts, pants, or jeans-true white, not off-white or cream). We will provide the shirt.
